Where do you get coffee for a quarter? I counter boldly. He sees the hard stare I give me dressed in a nice hat trousers and jacket, cold front coming the TV news said wife clutching my arm nervously, his slept-in clothes second hand likely. Still standing here bud looking at your face. Thoughts scramble, nerves crawl up and down my leg Dont give no lecture either, green teeth & hair awry breathes at my face. After long staring we decide to step back from the edge, eager to be on our separate ways. Richard L.
