The Lord of My Life
by I boldly declare I have an intimate relationship with my Lord and king, His goodness and mercy is overtaking me and I have peace within He puts a new song in my heart, my soul rejoices daily as I sing, Highest praise and adoration, to Him I give, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving. I receive instructions directly from His word, which I obey, His law is established in my heart, to guide me along the way, Willingly I came after I heard his call, now I am living in him happily, In Him I am restored, righteousness is my destiny. He is my strength and defense; to his outstretched arm, I daily look, My treasures are laid up with Him, like the stones by the water brook, He pours on me the substance of His treasures, He blesses me with choicest gifts, My heart rejoices daily with thankfulness; He gives me peace of mind and total rest. In Him I delight, my face is always lifted up to His Majesty, His dynasty is composed with splendor as he reigns in Sovereignty, My voice rings out with resounding plea, when I prostrate myself before his feet, He listens attentively to my cry, then raises me up to stand without defeat. My vows to His Lordship I pay, without hesitation or tenacity, He allows me to decree what is in my heart and it's established unto me, I follow His commands, faithful do I remain to His ordinance, His light illuminates my path, to keep me walking in obedience, When I am cast down, He reminds me of His power, which gives me great confidence, To humbly stand before Him, trusting in His Salvation and Divine Presence, The guilty ones, He is kind and merciful to deliver from any calamity, He gives the penitent heart a brand life, one that is free from all iniquity.
