Look Upon This Man
by Richard L. Provencher Once he held esteem among the forest, young legs dashing headstrong through thickets. Nothing fazed him; ravines filled with hubris, nor ridges where feet sought a hold then pulled down after health threatened; barely survived. Now he shuffles from closet to kitchen, to washroom, back again. Eyes still sparkle can sense billowing wind rise within birch clusters, remembers trout as they peer above lake's surface. At peace, content to sit gazing out a window, reading his Bible during struggles, the Word a song of life and love. Richard L. Provencher Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
