Don't Boast About Tomorrow
by Deborah Ann Belka Don't boast about tomorrow, or brag about today. Don't plan your course of action, or go off in your own way. Don't say I will do this, or try a little bit of that. Don't show off your deeds, or give yourself a pat. For arrogance to the Lord, is really just a sin. And for all that you accomplish, without Him, you'll never win. But if you seek God's will first, He will lead you from there on. For your life is but a vapor, . . . and one day . . . you'll vanish and be gone! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ James 4: 13-17 "Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that." But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin."
