A Vanilla Dish
by Richard L. Provencher The Rockies are distinctive with a first dash of snow like vanilla-humped camels in a line perpendicular to our view an undulating road hiding them at times. Then like a wave of white caps confront our imagination with scenic beauty, as do stirring mountain goats, exultant in the morning air. Far below these craggy monoliths a forest is sprinkled with September leaves in shades of calico where stiff-necked partridge leap upwards aside a meandering stream and brocades of silver reflect within the calm; a snarl of wolves on the hunt. Richard L. Provencher First published July 2010 Word Salad Poetry Magazine, UK Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
