Dreaming of Yesteryear
by PamFord Davis

Women have a tendency to cling to youthful ways and appearance, choosing clothing, hairstyles and makeup to hide our signs of aging. Wrinkles are diminished, dark under eye circles concealed, gray hair covered and bulges hidden. Camouflage is our game and we excel!

Men, you are also dreaming of yesteryear as you gaze into a full-length mirror. What happened to that slender muscular male who could face the task of 9 to 5 and then work overtime with energy to spare? Your face bears wrinkles that resume battle scars and a receding hairline has replaced wavy locks.

"The glory of young men is their strength, And the honor of old men is their gray hair (Proverbs 20:29 NAS)." How nice! Graying hair not only makes a man look distinguished and debonair it brings him honor. You need not hold the fame of Errol Flynn or Clark Gable to find honor; it comes with age. "Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb!"
