Do Not Disturb
by PamFord Davis

"Do Not Disturb!" Hotel occupants enter the confines of an inviting room anticipating a restful night of undisturbed rest, before securing the door they hang a Do Not Disturb sign on the brass handle. They close out the sounds, stress of the world, begin to distress, and unwind. The customer ranks the privacy and hotel management pampering a perfect 10 in peaceful hideaways.

"Do Not Disturb!" This morning in the privacy of my computer corner, I hang a Do Not Disturb sign on the doorway to my heart and mind. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)." The Lord stands guard, barring anxiety and giving free access to peace.
