I WANT TO RUN LIKE THE MEN OF OLD (PT 4)
by SIXTUS ONYEANUSI

I want to run like the men of old
They sowed not discord among the saints
Rather they stirred grace to build their faith
They kept the oneness of the Spirit
They kept the love in fellowship sweet
Nothing they had was only their own
I want to run like the men of old

I want to run like the men of old
They took the gospel light where they go
The zeal to win souls boiled up in them
Everywhere, they lifted up His Name
Great joy they had when souls touch Jesus
They spent and were spent for the gospel
I want to run like these men of old

I want to run like the men of old
They ran to win Christ, not just the crown
When threatened for Christ, were still so bold
They stood alone-away from the crowd
The way was narrow, yet they loved it
The cross was rugged, yet they held it
I want to run like these men of old
