Reclaim Your Royal Status
by Janice S Ramkissoon

As born-again believers we have automatic access to the riches of the Kingdom. This we receive through Christ who re-connected us with God. When He died on the Cross, He traded His blood for our sins; allowing us full access to all the resources God offers us. This gives us reason to celebrate life (Ephesians 1:14).

Therefore, there is no reason to live like paupers. But the devil, knowing he has no authority - no power over us, will delude us into thinking he's still got the power over us. It is time to reclaim our royal status in Christ and live like royalties. So let us walk in authority and be grateful for the benefits of the Kingdom. Though we don't deserve any of these privileges, they are freely available to us (Romans 6:1-14).

Stop being fearful - just step out in faith. Fear was also nailed to the cross. You are no longer bound by fear, for it was replaced by boldness in Christ (Romans 8:15). Let the devil deceive you no more. The spirit of fear comes from the angel of darkness and its only intention is to have you trapped and re-chained. Once you are in bondage and darkness consumes you, you see all that glitters as gold. But all obvious escape routes lead you back to the same place right where you started. And life becomes a carousel. You scream 'Help!' But no one hears you because no one's there. You've been tricked again.

But don't give up my friend. Don't let the devil win again (Ephesians 4:27). All the exits presented, are the ones he's planted, the illusion he placed around you. So you keep 'spinning like a gig', desperate to break free, but it's impossible because the exits aren't real. You get exhausted. 'Why bother!', you say, 'no matter what I do, nothing ever changes...might as well settle for the devil I know'. Don't do it, his intention is to keep you busy, focusing on all that is happening around you, so it will keep you from looking up.

The windows of hope you're currently looking to, may be an illusion and the doors you are running to may have bars on them. But God can reach down to the depths of wherever you are. He'll pick you up and out of the darkness as we read in 2nd Corinthians 4:6-18; He'll help you see clearly where you are coming from and help you to understand His plans for you. Then you'll know that your purpose in life cannot be fulfilled without full access to all the resources God offers you.

So look up today and reclaim your royal status. He's waiting to welcome you home, with wide open arms that says, 'WELCOME BACK, my child'.
