The Word Was God.
by Steve Countryman

John 1:1-2 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.

Regardless how the world views God's Word, it is important to God! The Word represents God's Son Jesus. The Word is life's manual. The Old Testament foretells the coming of the Christ and the New Testament tells of His coming, living, leaving and returning again. God's Word is His main communication with you. When you read and study His Word you gain wisdom, insight, knowledge and revelation as to who God really is and how much God loves you! The Bible is the best selling book of all time. The Bible continues to be the most translated book in the world. The Bible is available in whole or in part to some 98 percent of the world's population in a language in which they are fluent. The Bible is also the most stolen book of all time, (from bookstores to hotels/motels).

Some people have chosen to ignore God's warning at the end of the Bible. Revelation 22:18-19 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. God cares greatly about His Word as He cares greatly about His Son. ! You mess with God's Word you are messing with God's Son! Not a wise thing to do. God cares greatly about you that is why the Bible exists! It is for you to be able to live an abundant life as Jesus said. You are not here on earth to accept what the world wants to give you, but to give this world something it needs to accept!

With over 9000 religions calling themselves Christians it is no wonder that the Bible has had different interpretations, versions, subtractions and additions made to it! To say that somethings are lost in translation would easily be an understatement with God's Word! Jesus started His church as a singular united church body, One church with One God, One Word, One Savior and One salvation plan! Christians, as the world called them in the Bible, means Christlikeness. Religion is man made because man wanted to make God in his own image not in God's image. By doing so man added to the laws of the Old Testament and added to God's salvation plan in the New Testament. What God said in His Word was never enough for those who distorted its' Truth! They have made God's salvation plan, just as they did the laws in the Old Testament, a working of self-righteousness not of God's love, grace and mercy. It is the biggest difference between religion and Christ's church.

By adding to God's Word, man through different religions, diluted the meaning and the purpose of the Bible. When Joseph Smith declared himself a prophet and came up with an additional testament to the Bible, The Book of Mormon, he diluted what was already made complete and whole, (Holy), by twisting, manufacturing and distorting the facts in the Bible. Other religions have done similar things. They have tried to strip away the Truth by diluting God's Word down to a powerless, meaningless and lifeless version that they can easily interrupt. Trying to elevate themselves politically into a position of power and influence. They do so at the expense of the Gospel!

Those days are numbered and God will pour out His anger and wrath on those who propagate their lies, distort, deceive, disillusion and create fear by trying to re-write God's Word! God's Word is eternally the Truth and will not be mocked or tampered with! God cares too much for His Word to allow those evil people to continue to contaminate it!

You have resources available to you through the Internet and your local Christian book store to read and study God's Word. To check passages against their original meanings in the Greek and Hebrew languages, concordances and against commentaries. This will help you to better understand all of what God has to tell you! You will find it amazing as God's Holy Spirit leads you to passages that talk to you and you will discover the "hidden" things of God! Are you ready?!?
