Worry, Be Gone . . .
by Deborah Ann Belka

Tomorrow said to me,
I have some troubles coming your way
and I said right back at it
be gone, I have enough of them today.

But, it would not leave me alone,
and continued to taunt and goad
reminding me what it would bring
to add more worries to my load.

Tomorrow said to me,
why don't you want to think of me?
and I said right back at it
because in Christ I am to be worry, free.

But, to this it did not listen,
and in my mind it had some fun
playing with my doubts and fears
keeping my emotions on the run.

Tomorrow said to me,
You can't ignore me any longer
and I said right back at it
be gone, for in Jesus I am stronger!

Matthew 6:34

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
