The War Zone
by Cindy Jones We wake up and find ourselves in the middle of a war zone. How did we get there? We question .. did I do something wrong? Do I deserve this? We feel alone .. forsaken. We grow weary and feel as if we have no energy to go on. " I will just go to bed and cover my head" Ah, does this all sound familiar to you .. a Christian? Well, welcome to reality where you are not alone in these feelings .. these anxieties. No, you are not alone in this war ! Life is surrounded with flying obstacles that are assigned to disrupt your life. But, look up, Child of God. For you have a hope that others do not have. This is only a chapter in your life. It is not the ending .. Change your outlook your perspective of things and realize that you have been designated a " Victor ". How do I know ? Because I too walk in this war zone. In a chapter in my life that may hold some momentary discouragement. But, I too know Hope .. For I know the end of the story ! With Hope, even in the battle, we can hold the banner of victory high .. we can celebrate. The battle only challenges you when you fail to rest in the Author of the story. When you fail to see the end with eyes of faith. No, you are not alone, nor were you ever. You see many have walked in this same war zone .. Many before you or I .. They had faith .. they knew the author. They left us with hope .. They left us with truth. For the Lord is our Victor. The battle is just part of the story. It is but a mere chapter in it. Thus when you focus on the final chapter, you will find a glorious ending .. Thus, then will He say, "It is finished !" I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother of six and a minister of the gospel. My heart is for people who have been damaged by the hands of man and who feels themselves unworthy of love. It is our jobs, as Christians, to be the carrier of Good News, not the carrier of being a Judge. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
