Can I Give You a Lift?
by PamFord Davis

I recently learned of an Aunts fall inside her home; the pain was so severe she had thought her back was broken. She is fortunate; there was no break and she is able to stay at home, yet she has required the aid of hospice care to aid in bathing, etc. Advertisers for emergency alert devices have made their point; falling can lead to serious injuries and we may not be able to get up without assistance.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help (Ecclesiastes 4:9 NRS)." Falling on a slippery floor, losing your balance and taking a tumble or tripping over something can all lead to an extended stay in the hospital. Solomon, through God's wisdom shared a valuable lesson; "two are better than one."
