Handwriting

There must be handwriting of the wall.
The reality of life is revealed in it all.
It is not the stage of a school class play.
It is real living from day to day.
The script emerges one day at a time.
Tomorrow will hold another line.

It was Isaiah, who got to see ahead of time Of happenings hundreds of years down line.
He told of the promised One in detail.
People heard in wonderment to no avail.
It was more than they could imagin
Their minds could not fathom.

God had already said, "Let there be."
It was said and became reality.
It is hard for some to believe
In something they can not see.
His word told of things unseen.
Is it a simple request to believe?
