God Still Reigns In Heaven in 2012
by Sharon A Taylor Stephenson

The world we live in these days seem like something straight out of a horror film with all the strange occurrences, natural and unnatural. At times it seems as if our own personal lives are going haywire; kids, school, work, traffic, economical decline and many other things that happen in our lives daily cause us to wonder "what in the world is happening?", " where is God in all of this?". These things, if allowed to may cause us to become saddened and even depressed at times.

Despite all this, do you want to hear the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Come closer!! Ready? God is in control; He has always been and forever will be. If you learn to trust in the God of the universe to take care of the details of your daily lives, from the smallest challenge to the biggest, you can relax in this factual knowledge! God IS in control and He needs no back up nor help from you to take care of everything that concerns you! Believe it!!

God sees and knows all; He is everywhere at once (omnipresent) and He is all powerful (omnipotent), henceforth, the best way to keep sane in a world that seems insane, is to give everything over to Him and place them into His Ever capable hands!! There will be a tremendous sense of relief, joy and wellbeing just from doing this daily! He is waiting so go ahead and lay all in His Hands!

As we embark on a New Year, don't start it off by worrying and wringing of the hands, there is life to be lived, places to go, fun to be had, people to meet, people who need a friend to just give them a smile, a hug; you could well be the one who saves a life today. When your problems and challenges are no longer any concern of yours, (since you placed them in God), there is a freedom that makes you walk with a skip and a brilliant smile that is just contagious. Go ahead try it!

Hope in all that is good, all that is God; trust that He will work all things out for your good as written in Romans 8:28 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose".
You may be thinking that this is far- fetched you may even be saying , "If I don't take care of my problems, then it is not possible to go on, I am the only one who is able to take care of it!". I beg to differ! In Matthew 19:26 it is written " With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible". So with God even the impossible becomes possible.
Make it a habit this New Year, to do the above. As you do this daily then you will hear the Voice of God, (your heart) speak to you and all you have to do is listen and follow where He leads! The still small Voice that is within all of us is the Voice that leads us on the right path when we yield our wants and needs to listen carefully and obey.
We have all come to realize, at some point in our lives, that following our own way usually brings us to a road block and we end up saying " If I had only followed my heart, I would not have done that or have said that!" Regret is an awful feeling, it is advisable to just listen to the Voice of God as we lay our problems in His hands and trust only He knows the way. He IS the only One who does!!! There is no GPS on this earth that can be right on track like He can and He does no recalculating, ever!!
Trust in God this year; let go and let God and your life will be filled with joy and sweet peace; yes there will still be trials and tests, however you need not give those a second thought; just breathe a word to Him "God I place this in Your Ever capable Hands". Then go on about your daily life. Now isn't that the ultimate freedom? It sure is!!
This year as you embark on a new way of living, you will see marvelous things unfold. You are in for a great ride, the very best ride of your life!!! Here's to you! Happy New Year!!!
