Count Their Catch

I'm not sure how they attained their talent, but the gift of gab enables them to hit their mark. Targeted listeners accept hidden agenda unaware. It's not easy to separate their deception from reality and they hook many who flounder in their faith. Smooth talkers daily reel them in and count their catch "They want to serve themselves and not Christ the Lord. Their flattery and fancy talk fool people who don't know any better (Romans 16:18 CEV)." We cannot always trust our impressions of those we hear. Smooth talkers easily mislead many; the wise weigh all messages upon the scales of scripture.
