Peace Before Prayer
by Deborah Ann Belka

Before you plea and intercede,
be at peace with God, before you proceed
worshipfully give Him, all due glory
reflect on Christ and salivation's story.

Consider all the things that God has done,
be mindful of the sacrifices of His Son
regard His grace for a tender while
think of your privilege without denial.

Listen for His still and quiet voice,
in your heart, feel His delight and rejoice
silently let your mind, to Him take notice
let His love and mercy be your focus.

Before you pray for your heart's desire,
let His Sprit, in you so inspire
the words you say, the thoughts you utter
and rid your life of all the outside clutter.

For, when we come to that quiet place,
we can expect great things to happen
He hears every prayer of His redeemed
and will make your heart forever gladden!

Psalm 69:13

"But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O
Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the
multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth
of thy salvation."
