The Mournful Spirit
by Deborah Ann Belka Lord, give me a mournful spirit, as my sins rise to the surface let me feel the pangs of anguish for being to You ~ a disservice. I know how much I've hurt You, how disloyal I have been now I see through the darkness and recognize the pain of my sin. I once thought I was wealthy, but now I know that I am poor I thought I could squeak myself into heavens back side door. But, this could never happen, for I have broken Your heart and unless I give true penitence from You ~ I'll always be apart. So, I am bowing down before You, my tears are asking You to forgive all the disfavor I have brought You as my worldly joys to You ~ I give. Lord, bless me with Your comfort, come and bring my heart relief while I express to You my sorrow for causing You so much grief! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Matthew 5: "Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted."
