The Bouncer
by PamFord Davis

Those who know me best know my family lived in a western movies environment. Dad introduced me to westerns; Mom sauntered me to front row for musicals. It is only natural that Roy and Gene are among my favorites, mastering leading roles as singing cowboys.

Cowboys often had a taste for redeye from local saloons and it led to brawls, injuries and destruction of property. Tavern owners employed the muscle and stamina of men of large stature to maintain order. These bouncers tossed troublemakers outside.

Love is kind but also serves as bouncer to unwanted intruders. "There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror (1 John 4:18a Amplified)!" Loves bounces fear back outside where he belongs!
