What I'll get
by Dennis Bazzell

Thank you Lord for saving my soul
Maybe I'll play in the Super Bowl
I'm awfully excited about what I'll get
A Mustang a Camaro or maybe a Vette

I wonder Lord if an automobile
Could actually be part of the deal
The payments enormous
the insurance extreme
I can't afford to buy
Coffee or sugar or cream

How shallow of me to think that you are
Given praise for the actions of a superstar
No tribulation is the way of the cross
Its trials temptation suffering and loss
Okay Lord, now watch me endure
I know that I am now quite mature
Enough is enough Lord when will it end
I think its time for my ship to come in!!

Now I've got it,
History will say
He was quite faithful,
He walked in the way

He fought a good fight
finished his course
He rides into heaven
On a great white horse

Lord you know I'm so alone
It's seems I'm forgotten
before I'm gone

You are my shield and
Exceeding great reward;
My constant companion;
My savior and Lord.

Now I face life's final test
What if there is not a land
Of peace joy and rest?
What if the story is just
A crutch for the weak
To get them from the
Valley to the next peak?

What's this I feel,
It has an old familiar ring
The Sun of God rising
With healing in his wings

I feel him now with me,
I'm sure it's the Lord
He tells me he loves me,
To just trust his word

This is the deepest valley
I've ever been in
But my faith is stronger
Than it's ever been

I'm lifted up beyond
All fear and doubt
I hear the angels singing
And starting to shout

I sit in an arena alongside
The heroes of faith
We applaud those that are
Still running the race

I see a new runner
I never have met
I hear him say Lord
I'm excited about what I'll get.
A Mustang, Camaro or maybe a Vette
