Vs1: No, no, it's not a religion Religion makes mockery of God Religion pretends to love God But the heart is filled with the world Religion is still ruled by self Possessing not crucified life Vs2: No, no, it's not a religion Religion is hostile to God And works evil to his neighbour Religion prefers sacrifice Than to obey and do God's will Religion does not satisfy Vs3: No, no, it's not a religion Religion pretends to know God But lacking the true rev'lation Religion pursues mere shadows And forsaking the reality Religion fears eternity **** *** ** * Is Christianity a religion? Nay, nay, it is a great mystery....it is impossible for the carnally minded man to comprehend, the profound wisdom of Christianity is spiritually discerned. Christianity means the Trinity having His abode in a regenerate man. It is the life of God in Christ in a man. Religion is empty, vanity and void of the Holy Spirit. But Christianity is the free flow of the Spirit out of a man's "belly"; a man's heart. Is Christianity a religion? Nay, nay, it is a great mystery....it is impossible for the carnally minded man to comprehend, the profound wisdom of Christianity is spiritually discerned. I had been religious all the way, pretentious, covetous, unrighteous, fleshly, selfish, and utterly foolish until I met Jesus in spirit and in truth. He saved me. He changed me. I now live like Him. I now live for Him, without struggles, overcoming all troubles by His overcoming power effectually at work in me inside out. No, no, it is a way of life...it is the expression of the Kingdom life...Christ in you made manifest the way you think, live and in all you do, consciously and unconsciously. It is living for Jesus like Jesus. Christianity is not a religion. Religion misses it and mixes it up. It is dogmatic and heretic, they miss the revelation of faith that dawns on a man's heart through God's word. It is strugglings. Trying to earn righteousness by charity works, self-denial and mutilation. It is mechanical. It is superficial. But true Christianity is simple and sweet, because it is the life of the Spirit.
