STRENGTH OF A WOMAN
by Janice S Ramkissoon In Memory of Magdalene Olivia [Blackwood] Peddie (1919-1999) Love she gave, unconditionally There's always a little more to extend And a little more time to spare It's never too much, too far or too high; She'll always be there in person or kind And where there's a need She'll go down on her knees For collection and tithes She would give her last dime But never did worry how she'll get by As always, she'd say: "God will provide". Proud of her belief; She taught us how to love; Then as time goes by She would watch us with pride What better gift could she give - than teaching the ways to Christ? Since that October day, when I said my goodbyes I often think of her with tear filled eyes But something inside says she'd want me to Smile Now, there's always a smile on my face And in my heart shall remain. Janice Simone Ramkissoon Janice, a freelance writer, lives in the UK and enjoys spending time with her husband, Vince and their son, Javin.
