Tebow the Gamechanger
by RobertLincoln Hancock

Tim Tebow has broken the bandwidth of cyber traffic to world rockstar class as a gamechanger. In football and in life Tim lives in the super zone. In the sports world, being in the zone is the ultimate alignment of talent to task and timing. Being in the zone is the true mark of champions that make it to the end game as winners.

The football career of quarterback Tim Tebow is a storybook classic of a champion gamechanger both on and off the playing field. Some say Tebow's unorthodox style makes him an unlikely candidate prospect for a future in the NFL or a future candidate for the Hall of Fame. Few thought he could ever rise to shine in the NFL as a quarterback with the potential to excel the likes of the New York Jet, Joe Namath and other icons in the history of the sports world.

Tim's career has been a rocket trip from his college days with record breaking national awards: the most outstanding amateur in any sport, voted two times best college football player, best college quarterback, first sophomore to win the Heisman trophy, two time winner of NCAA Championship to his new NFL professional venue as the first round pick in 2010. Tim was a season game changer to take the Denver Broncos to the playoffs in 2011.

Tebow has learned the art of being a champion optimizing every opportunity both on and off the field for doing good while doing well. He has already made himself a potential candidate for the NFL Man of the Year award at a future Super Bowl He has maintained a persona that is authentic and consistent in spite of the fast track to world popularity. Many celebrities have lost their way in the process and robbed themselves of their reputations through aberrant behaviors and life styles detrimental to themselves and others who idolized them.

The first miracle came early for Tim before his birth. His mother chose life for him against the advice to abort him. He has been a gamechanger ever since defying conventional wisdom and write offs by sports pundits. Tim says of his success, "it is not about me. It is about my maker, redeemer and sustainer---that is the ultimate gamechanger for life."

The second miracle is that Tim has a "governor" in his heart and mind that checks all the critical life choices he makes. He attributes that miracle to the Master, his maker, to which he has surrendered the Master key to his life. Tebow, like each of us, is the sum total of the life choices he makes each day. He will tell you that this is the most important choice he ever could make.

Tim would be quick to tell you that the gamechanger choices he makes in life are far more important than those he makes on the football field. His latest book, Through My Eyes, gives insight to any honest seeker of Truth eager to discover meaning and purpose in life.

Tim Tebow is a man for all seasons and a champion of many worthy causes that serve the needs of people. What happens on the football field does not define him as a person...football is not the most important thing in his world. Tim has his priorities right. It is faith, family and football in that order.

His dedication is stellar to serve the disenfranchised and at-risk in our world. God has changed his game plan and made him a gamechanger role model with a passion and purpose. His new field of dreams is an upgrade to bless and encourage people with special needs around the world.

This author has observed that the character, consistency and transformation of Tim's life is real. His faith and living are authentic and compelling. It is noteworthy that others such as Coaches Tony Dungy, Dick Vermeil, Joe Gibbs, Tom Osborne and star players such as Reggie White, Roger Stauback, Aaron Rogers, Colt McCoy, Bart Starr, Kurt Warner and many others attribute meaning and purpose for their lives to their faith in Jesus the Christ who claimed to be the Way, the Truth and the Life. Their character has been shaped and aligned with their Maker, Redeemer and Sustainer. They know who they are, why they are here and where they are going. They are the kind of role models that can forge a future with Hope for young people around the world.

We sports fans salute you Tim for your gamechanging example and leadership. Thanks for being in the ZONE and letting us share vicariously your journey and joy.

Who knows how many great ideas and movements that Tim Tebow will inspire and encourage in his career chapter and journey. For example, the 2010 Super Bowl Man of the Year awardee, Kurt Warner became the inspiration for a gamechanger Champion's Campaign to end world hunger in one generation. As a result US Ambassador Tony Hall renowned authority on global hunger and poverty and Hall of Fame Coach Tom Osborne have extended the invitation to 100,000 sports fans and celebrities to be champions to end poverty in this generation. "Not one of us picked our place of birth, but each one of us can be a champion to make a world of difference for families living on less than $2 per day with a livelihood for a lifetime in this generation." www.EndPovertyZONE.org
