Entrusted to Me
by PamFord Davis

One of my anchor scripture passages is Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (NAS)." I find a challenge, comfort and confidence within this brief passage. My part is to trust and testify; He will transform each crooked dead end street into straight pathways to peace. I choose to trust Him.

The Amplified Version of the Bible has an insightful translation of a corresponding verse dealing with trust: "And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day." (2 Timothy 1:12)
