THE HEALING KIND OF LOVE
by Roni Luther

To be loved and accepted as you are and not judged is the kind of love we all look for and want. The healing kind of love that doesn't hurt and is constant and unconditional ; not earned but given freely; seeing the need in us, not our faults. The love that covers us and doesn't uncover.

In this world a lot of us have been deeply hurt by love, but there is a love that truly heals and that is God's love. Sometimes we've been hurt so many times that we're afraid of love because we don't want to be hurt anymore, so we build up walls around us and close ourselves up to love. We think by doing this we are protecting ourselves and it is ok. But, eventually, the walls become a trap and hurtful to us, keeping us stagnant and eventually hurting us emotionally and spiritually and, in may cases, physically also.

There is a healing kind of love that melts down the walls, soothes the wounds of a broken heart and can put back the pieces of a life that has been broken --a love we've never known before. Someone who sees and feels the pain in our life and who was with us through it all, even though we may not have known it; that Someone is God, who gave us life and loves us unconditionally. He is a constant kind of love we can trust in. His love is not dependent on what we do or don't do. His love just is, because we are.

This love soothed the wounds of my broken heart and life and healed my pain, giving me hope and my life meaning. He took away my guilt and shame by touching this broken life and putting it back together again, only better than it was before.

Loving me and accepting me as I am, He's given me a reason to live and love again. His healing kind of love set me free, and He wants to do the same for each one of us..

Hi there. God called me to write and sing for Him in 1976. Alot of things have happened since then and all I can say is thank you Lord for You and all you have done in me, for me and through me. He's an awesome God and Father. He is always faithful, loving, merciful & full of grace.
