Zap the Zit!
by PamFord Davis It was class picture day. You were fourteen, going through puberty, and there was a big zit on your nose. You were mortified when you looked in the mirror. You smeared on a generous amount of pimple cream, and hoped for a reprieve. Where was "Batman" when you needed him? Zap! Remove the zit! Sin is a zit on our souls. The Bible is our mirror and I often cringe at what I see. "For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was (James 1:23-24 NAS)." Lest I forget, I was a wretched sinner.
