Do It Again!

Give us that "Old Time Religion!" Stories of great awakenings and revivals, monumental moving of the Holy Spirit, not only serve as reminders of God's power. They create a renewed hunger and thirst for the Lord, a sense of our unworthiness, and his unfailing love.

The Prophet Daniel was keenly aware of the sins and unworthiness of his people; yet, he trusted in the Lord, worthy of worship and praise. He and his people needed a fresh touch of God's healing hand. With contrition and confession, Daniel prayed

"O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name by removing your people from Egypt in a great display of power. Lord, do it again (Daniel 9:15a Living Bible)!" Judgment day approaches. "Merciful God, deliver us from apathy; Lord, do it again!"
