Following the Leader
by PamFord Davis

I wonder, do children still "Follow the Leader?" In our politically correct society, many might think, we are damaging the self-esteem, of those not designated as leader. It seems like only yesterday, that I was in elementary school, at the classroom door, standing in a line. As a reward for good behavior, the teacher chose someone to stand at the head of the line. With my classmates, I stood behind an honored leader, preparing to go to the cafeteria for lunch.

"The doorkeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought all his own outside, he goes ahead of them. The sheep follow him because they recognize his voice (John 10:3-4 HCS)." He leads, all, who willingly follow. "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will come in and out and find pasture (John 10:9 HCS)." It's a privilege to follow the leader!
