Heal My Tongue, Oh Lord!
by Olawale Ogunsola

I thank You for giving me my tongue to be used for Your glory, Oh Lord. It needs healing because my tongue is sick. I bring my tongue to you, Oh Lord, heal it.
It is not reserved wholly for You.

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
I remember, it was the tongue of Mrs Eve Adam in the garden of comfort that sold her household to the serpent. She exposed her secrets and the enemy struck. Satan's fourteen-word question was answered with not less than forty words, unhealed tongue! Lord, I inherit this from these first mother, heal my tongue!

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
The case of an Amalekite, who lied against his soul before King David came to mind now. He said that he was the person who killed King Saul on the battle field. In fact King Saul killed himself when he was wounded by the sword of the enemy.
The Amalekite's tongue brought his own blood upon his head. He was guilty of his own blood. Heal my tongue, Oh Lord, before it brings my blood upon my head.

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
It was the tongue of Michal that finally turned her to a barren forever,
She despised King David's worship of the Lord in her heart and she said it with her tongue only to become childless all her life. Heal my tongue, Oh Lord, before my tongue turn me into fruitlessness!

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
That my tongue might not become a sharp sword that destroys my fellow man or woman.
Heal it today, Oh Lord!

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
That I may be swift to hear,slow to speak, slow to wrath: because the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. Heal my tongue now, Oh Lord!

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
Heal my little member that boasts great things; before a little fire kindles a forest. Heal my little fire, a world of iniquity.
Heal my tongue that is set among my members that defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell. Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
Heal my tongue today, I cannot tame it; no man can tame it. It is an unruly evil,full of deadly poison. You alone can tame it.
Therefore, I proclaim like David in Psalm 141:3
"Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
Keep a watch over the door of my lips."

Heal my tongue, Oh Lord!
That I may not stumble in many things; because if I do not stumble in word, I will be a perfect man,able to bridle my whole body.
Heal my body, Oh Lord!

Heal my tongue,Oh Lord!
Heal my tongue to offer praise to glorify You;
And to order my conduct aright
That you might show me Your salvation.
