Weigh actions carefully

"What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?" Matthew 16:26

If a person advances in worldly fame, achievements and status, in worldly ways with worldly motives, nothing is gained. In fact hell may be the outcome of that persons life.

The godly tread godly paths that are narrow, disciplined and God-inspired. The worldly are reckless, ruthless, greedy and unethical. They use the godly for their own vile ends. They persecute the godly because they point out their deeds are evil.

If the worldly continue on corrupt paths, God may put them in hell. Their way is definitely wrong. Selfishness, envy, jealousy and the desire for worldly things drive them. Unhealthy competion and rivalry drives them.

Even if you see the wicked advancing, the outcome will not be good for them. Their victories are hollow, short-lived. Worthless, like straw. It might cost them dearly. Judas was one like these.

Be careful not to become like the worldly. Don't take on their ways for long in case you are consumed by them, or take hidden bribes. Step back from them and off their paths. Cut yourself off from them. Place yourself at a distance from them. Your Bible reading, prayers and faith should get you out of any mess.

The outcome for the righteous victimised and bullied by the worldly will be rewards and greater victories.
