Big Boy Toys
by PamFord Davis

Just ask a man about his "big boy toys." He'll grin from ear-to-ear, and describe every extra on his monster truck, bass boat, Snowmobile, Jet Ski or Four Wheeler ATV. He holds the keys and titles; the bank may hold the notes. Gals, we have our toys, too. It might be that exercise machine that gathers dust, or the sewing machine that you promise to pull out when you can find the time. We have so much; yet, we still feel we must accumulate more.

"Do not store up riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Instead, store up riches for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and robbers cannot break in and steal. For your heart will always be where your riches are (Matthew 6:19-21 TEV)." It's okay to own a few toys. We are wise to do an inventory and make certain our toys don't own us.
