Dire Straits
by PamFord Davis Emergencies overtake me. I am in dire straits and send out an urgent distress signal-S.O.S. I am not proficient in Morse code, but frantically can cry out "Help!" God hears my plea; I can trust him to respond and come to my rescue. The Holy Spirit steps in with first aid. "Hold on Pam; help is on the way!" "Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin! So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved kindness, and we will find help (Hebrews 4:15-16 CEV)."
