BACKSLIDER
by Lewis E. Thomas What will it take for God to get your attention? I'll speak about something you'd rather I not mention. What will it take for God to humble you? What will it take for God to get through? What will it take the loss of your job? To make you pray and make you sob? What will it take a body full of disease? Will this humble you and get you on your knees? What will it take to make you pray? And from His Word to dare not stray? What will it take to make you find time? So His love on your face can once again shine? What will it take for you to have a burden again? For those lost souls that are bound by sin? What will it take the near death of your child? To make you bow down and pray for a while? What will it take a divorce in your home? Will you pray when you're left all alone? What will it take the suffering of an innocent one? To get thru to you and get the job done? Why can't you make yourself bow down and pray? So the innocent won't suffer for your stubborn way? What will it take to humble you?
