Blessings Unseen

Blessings Unseen

We are always quick to gripe and complain
We fuss about the cold and find fault with the rain.

We complain about toys left strewn about
We fuss about the noise when our children shout.

We complain about this and we fuss about that
We seldom count our blessings and that's a fact.

What if God took away all the cold and heat?
How would we preserve or cook the food we eat?

What if God took away all the rain?
What if He turned our world into a desert plain?

What if God let the death angel take our girls and boys?
So we would not be bothered with their noise?

Is the picture now beginning to get clear?
We complain about things that we should hold dear!

Oh that God would open our eyes
To see all His blessings and make us wise!

Proverb:10:6: Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Mal:3:10: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
