CROWNS
by Lewis E. Thomas I found myself in Heaven after my life on earth was done I stood before God to receive rewards for the souls I'd won. I received a Crown of Gold with one single precious stone Then I joined the Saints as we gathered around God's Throne. I began to get embarrassed but in Heaven this should not be! Ashamed of my one stone because others had more than me. The stones received were one for each soul we won to God I was ashamed I had won only one on the path that I had trod. God called forth a man standing in the back of the crowd Presented him with a Crown that would make a sinner proud! It was embedded with a million stones emitting a heavenly glow His face looked very familiar; was this someone I know? God asked him to seek out the saint who had won his soul So he walked up to me and handed me his Crown of Gold. He told me I had won his heart one day in Sunday School He said his life before that he had lived as a godless fool. Others brought Crowns to others causing a chain reaction Then God smiled on us all with a look of satisfaction! We all rejoiced and we did what sinners would consider odd We all cast our Crowns before Jesus the Son of God! Lewis E.
