For Love to Fly Free
by Lewis E. Thomas Lord we need a special miracle in our lives today We've lost our hunger to read your word and pray. Lord I pray you'll bring spiritual life to us again Help us to return to the place we've once been. Lord you've been good to us and blessed us so much Our souls need a revival our hearts need your touch! We walk in a desert place dry because of sin We need to drink desperately from Heaven's Oasis again. We're caught on a branch called Don't Seem To Care We have no joy inside for with people to share. All we can do is cut each other with words I love you and I need you just isn't ever heard. Why did you do this? Why didn't you do that? That's how we talk when we sit down and chat. When we first married we loved each other so much! We held each other close with a tender loving touch. Our love that once soared up high with the kite Now tangled in branches of faults that shine bright! Let's pray for a gentle breeze from God's Amazing Grace To lift us, free us, from our awful tangled place. We've failed each other and I know we've failed God We've strayed from the path God wants us to trod. Lets stop dwelling on the faults in you and me And pray, "God help our love to once again be free!"
