We Know Not What We Do
by Gloria Comingore

We know not what we do

How sad to know that we care so little for our Lord and Savior.
He came and no one even saw who he was in his own town.
He gave us light and we saw darkness.
He gave us love and we found hatefulness.
He came so we might live and we sought to kill Him.
He cried for our sins and we mocked him.
His love gave us all and we rejected everything he gave.
Still he asked God to forgive for we knew not what we do.
The temples shook and the clouds covered the sun.
We feared for what we had done.
We knew not that we had killed Gods SON.
The dark angel laughed in delight as our souls we're his.
Still Jesus loved and died so we would know that HE still lives.
He arose from the grave and many were saved.
He appeared to his followers and he empowered them.
To finish the Son of Gods work, which we still do today.
Gods love is far greater than the dark angel's sin.
