by lynn gipson Prayer for Renewal Some mornings my soul feels empty Rays of hope dimmed with enemies Prayers ramble on all skewed and odd Petitioning springs of hope from God Jesus, you are my Savior and Lord I listen intently for your word Sometimes I am deaf for trying To drown out the devil's lying Hear me this morning, God of Mercy Chase my sins and leave me worthy Of abundant love you willingly give As you carried a cross so I might live Feeling your spirit here in my soul A battered heart needs to be told Once again I'm not a waste Deserving of your saving grace I humbly ask for another cleansing Of all you give as never ending Fill my veins with your pure blood My soul awaits your redeeming love I am a 61 year cancer survivor just recently become a writer.
