by Lewis E. Thomas A young teen dies in a car crash The Police report said: "It was alcohol related" It was the result of a deadly influence Something that the father had not anticipated. We all have the power to influence With our each and every breath. Will our influence bring forth life? Or will our influence bring forth death? What kind of an influence are you? When you're around the children you love? Will your influence make them abusive? Or make them gentle as a dove? As you work on your job each day Do you always do your very best? Will your influence make someone a better person? Or will it cause them to be less? What kind of an influence are you Every day, everywhere you go? If God checked out your records What would your records show? Are you a gentle and kind person? Or are you mean and cruel? Do you live a life full of sin? Or do you follow the Golden Rule? Are your spoken words refreshing? Life-giving to all who hear? Or are they like deadly darts Thrown into the back of someone near? There is someone influenced by you Even though you cannot tell.
