MIGHTY ANCHOR
by Lewis E. Thomas

Life is a Great Ocean where man is tossed to and fro!
Sometimes we face Storms that deliver some terrible blows!

Sometimes Life's Storms are relentless, filling us with fright!
Sometimes we get lost on Life's Sea, with no hope in sight!

Sometimes we get tossed by waves of spiritual forces unseen!
Sometimes life can be cruel and sometimes very mean!

When I face Life's Storms today I can be very bold!
I have an Anchor within The Vail! The Anchor that always holds!

My Anchor holds me secure through every Storm that Rages!
My Anchor is described throughout the Bible and its Holy pages.

If life had no Storms we would never fully appreciate the Calms!
The Power of my MIGHTY ANCHOR is revealed in the 91st Psalm.

The Storms we face in life are part of God's Holy plan!
Storms build Faith, Perseverance, and Strength into a woman or man!

Calm times are truly great but with few lessons learned unique!
Without Storms of Opposition we would soon become frail and weak!

Jesus will hold me secure through every Storm and Gale!
Jesus is my Heavenly Anchor, The Anchor that will never fail!

I can face any Stormy Tempest sent to test my soul
Because I am secured to that Anchor, that shall always hold!
