PRIORITIES
by Lewis E. Thomas There was nothing more important than my family in my life I always took care of them, my children and my wife. I saw that they had food, nice clothes and shoes to wear I didn't hold back a thing when it came to my families care. I helped my children with homework to make good grades in school I took them to special events like swimming at the pool. I would always see to it that they never suffered any pain To make room for them I would have slept out in the rain. I wish I could have seen that stalled car around the curve But it was dark and raining as we began to swerve. We all stepped into eternity amidst the glass and blood We stood before God's Throne without Jesus to be judged. Our names could not be found within God's Book of Life I failed to teach my family to lead a Christian life. My family just stared at me as they realized our fate Then God's angel took us down to stand before Hell's gate. Hell's gate began to open as horrible screams came from within The cry of a trillion souls that all had died in sin. As the demons reached for us I suddenly sat up in bed I heard the voice of God and this is what He said: "Your dream tonight was a warning, It is your very last one" "Your dream tonight is your future if you don't serve my Son!"
