Recording the Facts
by Lewis E. Thomas One day I felt to carry a recorder to record my Christian deeds I felt I was a perfect Christian with little or no spiritual needs. I stayed busy for God from daylight until the setting of the sun! Kicking back at home with my recorder to listen to what I'd done. I started off the day quite well witnessing about Jesus and the Cross Then I heard myself spreading a rumor about my very own boss! Profanity came from my mouth that the Bible clearly condemns! I fussed about my Pastor and complained I didn't like certain hymns. As the recorder played on God's conviction got under my skin I heard my tongue throw a dart into the back of my best friend! I had been walking as a lukewarm Christian unable to see my sin I had neglected my Bible reading and prayertime and time again. I trembled and began to weep as I listened to my recorded deeds What I heard woke me to the fact! I had many spiritually needs! I shut the recorder off because I did not want to hear anymore! I realized I was breaking God's heart by doing things He did deplore! I repented and asked God "Please help me to get myself in order!" God said "That is the reason I caused you to carry your recorder?" If you think you're a perfect Christian never doing anything uncouth Just record yourself all day and go home and play the hidden truth! It will give you a clear perspective and open your eyes up wide Then you won't be blinded by sin or stumble on your pride! Unseen Angels are recording our every deed on the paths we trod One day at the Judgment, Angels will play all our deeds back for God! Lewis E.
