I'm Here
by Sally Hanan

I'm here.
Feel the comfort of My presence.

That mountain up ahead, the one you keep staring at-
I know what's going on in your heart.
I see how big it seems in your eyes.
I see how alone you feel,
How afraid.
That's why I'm here.

That warmth at your side,
That's Me.
That strength in your hand,
That's My hand holding yours,
Tightly.

That sense that I'm not exactly beside you,
That's the truth. It's because I am one step ahead of you, holding you at My side yet slightly behind.
I'm going ahead, to prepare the way.
I'm going to make your rough places smooth.
Just hold tight.

Let Me wipe away those tears.

You were never alone.
I want that to sink in.
You were never alone.
