SALVATION WAS BORN
by Lewis E. Thomas Once upon a time a child was born to us He came into this world without making any fuss. The stable walls sheltered Him from the rain and wind There just wasn't any room for Him inside the Inn. He was a Special child unlike any child born before His Father watched over Him closely standing at Heavens door. The animals gathered around, the Wise men began to sing The star outside proclaimed that this child was a King! Jesus was God's gift from above sent to man below The greatest expression of love this world would ever know. He was born to die for your sin and mine He reaches out to you as you read these lines. You can feel His presence if you'll kneel in prayer Because a repenting heart will always bring Him there. He didn't have to come and die upon the cross Had He stayed in Heaven great would've been our loss. We nailed Him to the cross, hear the hammers "thud" There upon the cross Jesus shed His precious blood. His precious blood dripped down in drops not a few Jesus bled one drop that day just for you! Will you live for Him since He died for you? To receive eternal life that's all you have to do. Nothing in this world will give you a greater high Than walking with the One who lives beyond the sky.
