TWO PUPPIES

And the following reply is what that old gentlemen had to say: "That always depends on two puppies that live inside me!" "They quarrel and fight because they never get along you see!" "De Spirit" and "De Flesh" are the names they go by" "These puppies will haunt me until the day that I die!" "They struggle and fight for that old bone called my soul" "They know that bone is worth more than all the world's gold" "I can feel them fighting as I sit in church on the pew" "When I think they've calmed down they start something new!" "My mind is their playground since I am their host" "My day is determined by which one I feeds the most!" "De Flesh pup is always the one who makes me act rude" "So I tries to see that De Spirit gets more exercise and food!" "If you are a Christian you know about this dogfight real well" "So don't let De Flesh take that old bone to Hell!" "De Spirit and De Flesh fight and both want to win" "Which puppy will be victorious in this dogfight with Sin?" Lewis E.
