What Would Jesus Do?
by Lewis E. Thomas A homeless man approaches you begging for a buck or two You turn quickly to avoid him; but what would Jesus do? The neighbor's tree hit your house so you quickly want to sue Though your case is strong and sound; what would Jesus do? You hear a co-worker stabbing you in the back before the crew Time to blast them with both barrels; but what would Jesus do? Christians are commanded to be Christlike in our deeds and talk We should strive to respond like Jesus on this path we walk. Someone actually called you unforgiving way back in the day So you have not spoken to them since; what would Jesus say? What did Jesus do in His life when faced with this and that? Did He always please God or did He behave like a carnal brat? Next time you're offended and loading up to deliver a verbal blast Fire away with love and deliver a message that will really last. Show the world around you that you're a cut above the rest Show them your heart has been forever changed by Heaven's Best! What would Jesus do? That is the whole subject lesson here! We had better do it right because His coming is so near. So next time Life offends you or gives you a dirty look Respond with love and keep your name glowing in God's Book! Lewis E.
