Please Mr. Jesus
by Lewis E. Thomas As me and my Teddy Bear kneel down and pray "Help us Mr. Jesus we really need you today!" Mommy and Daddy you know they had a big fight They don't talk and my heart is filled with fright. My Daddy yelled to Mommy, "I don't love you anymore!" "I need your help Sir because I'm only four!" Please Mr. Lord, "Could you send us an Angel today?" "We need Him to chase that bad Devil away!" My Teddy Bear can't talk but he said to me: "When Angel gets here that bad Devil will flee!" No grownup ever told me to seek you and pray It was Teddy who told me to kneel down today! Mr. God, "Something is happening in here as I pray" "I see an Angel who is brighter than day!" That bad Devil, well he just ran out the door! I feel real good I'm not scared anymore! The Angel spoke to Mommy, then to my Dad Now they're hugging each other, I am so glad! Mister Jesus they're telling each other how they saw you That you saved their souls and made them all new! Mr. Lord I know now you spoke through Teddy today When I heard them kind words, "Kneel down and pray!" We are so happy now Mommy, Daddy, Teddy and me Thank you for your Spirit that set us all free.
