YOU ARE MORE THAN YOU THINK
by John Seun If you are a fan of country music, the name Johnny Cash needs no introduction. About Johnny Cash, a writer points that at birth Johnny's parent named him JRC because they couldn't think of a name for him. You may find it interesting to know that of all Mr. Cash's seven children, Johnny was the only one without a name. I mean to point that at birth he was considered a nobody (he was not given a due recognition) because all the remaining six siblings of Johnny were all given good and sweet names except him. I found it very very interesting because Mr. Johnny Cash rose to become one of the world's most famous country musician, an author and an actor. Then I remembered Ecclesiastes 10:5-7; There is an evil I have seen under the sun, As an error proceeding from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity, while the rich sit in a lowly place. I have seen servants on horses, while princes walk on the ground like servants Did you hear that? Mr. Cash became the all time great in country music. The same Johnny whose parent couldn't think of a name for made name for himself. We were fearfully and wonderfully designed by God to proclaim His glory; this means that you would not have been made to bring shame to God's name. You are never a failure or nobody. You have the ability to rise beyond what you see now. Man's failure is born out of lack of self determination and purpose. The devil will always give you a picture of nobody so you continuously live like a prince on the ground while servants take your place on the horse. The Israelite never knew how mighty they were, even when Moses was in charge they were constantly afraid of the Egyptian but what happened when they became aware of their worth? They captured and inherited many cities and nations and became the shining light of the world. I mean a nation who was under captivity for so many years became the ruler of the world. The devil is always aware of your worth and will do all he can to ensure you never regain consciousness. In Exodus 1:8-22, especially verse 9: And he said to his people, "look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we. Of course the Israelites were not aware how afraid the Egyptian were of them that was why they remained slaves for many years and were constantly tormented by their captors. The devil will always deal shrewdly with you to prevent you from knowing your worth. You are bigger than your wildest imagination, a thousand more than what you are presently, for it is written that we are made a new CREATURE once we accepted Christ. How can you serve God and be barren if He has said be FRUITFUL? How can you, a child of God, be poor if He says wealth and riches shall not depart from your house? We are the light of the world, why then are we in darkness? God is not man that He should lie neither is He a wicked God. He said He has not called you to seek Him in vain and I am sure He will never tempt you with hunger. How can you tell your creditors about Christ? How can you beg and tell of plenty that abounds in the Kingdom of God? You can't be barren and expect others to believe your God is a God of possibilities. It is not right. You are more to what you think. A big God will never have tiny children. Please see yourself big. An elephant will always begat an elephant. Your God is a big God so you are a big god. Be blessed.
