The Art of Patience
by Marie Grossett

Ping the microwave has stopped! Your food finished heating in three minutes, which makes you happy because you didnt have to peel the potatoes or carrots and wait for an hour for the meat to boil. You got what you needed for your taste buds quickly.

In todays society that is how we want all our life situations to be (like a microwave). We want things now and we want them quickly. It could be a promotion at work a new house, business, or car we want our success or big break to happen when we want it to happen waiting a year or two is too long.

The phrase Good things happen to those who wait, is hardly said anymore, its almost non-existent. When we dont get things in our time we tend to get frustrated.

Is it something I am doing wrong, you start to think or Maybe if I twist and turn I will get the results I need quickly.

Yes at times you do need to analyse situations to see why things arent going the way you want it to go. But most of the time it boils down to having good old fashion patience.

Patience means long suffering, self control, and having the ability to tolerate. Everything has a time to blossom though it may take you longer than you expected to get your break through, because of your patience the end results will be worth the wait.

Sometimes when we rush to get things the results are more disastrous, then we start thinking Oh why did I do it like this? You properly could have saved yourself a lot more time and money if you just waited.

Scripture says God made all things beautiful in his time. His timing is perfect his ways is not our ways his thoughts are not our thoughts, and he can do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can hope for or imagine.

When you are patient you have more of the ability to keep clam under pressure, you have more of the ability to control your emotions and not to let things get the better of you. Mentally you will have more stability.

Remember delay is not denial, so while you are waiting for your big break motivate yourself by thinking positively get your purpose back and just enjoy the build up to a successful life, because when you get your big break at least you can look back and smile at your God given achievements.
