These Feet of Clay
by Deborah Ann Belka God took these feet of clay, and put them to the test I thought it would be easy and promised to do my best. I kept my walk straight, stayed to the righteous path for I knew I never wanted to meet up with His wrath. But, there were obstacles, many got in to my way and Satan used my mind to tempt me every day. I thought I could withstand, what Satan put in front of me I was confident and I was sure his deceptions I would see. His lying lips spoke evil, but, it's not what my ears heard and I started listening to him instead of turning to the Word. My eyes became sightless, to the truths I once knew and instead of looking away Satan's lies I began to pursue. Satan threw at me my pride, made it a stumbling block it caused me to stop believing that Jesus was my Rock. For years, my faith was dead, I had fallen in to the pit of sin on the day Satan's deceptions became embedded deep within. But, God took these feet of clay, after putting them to the test and He brought me back to Him for He always does what's best. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Corinthians 10:12 King James Version "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."
